Fred Howey graduated third in his class at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law and was inducted as a member of Phi Delta Phi, an international legal honor society. Upon graduating law school, he set up a solo practice focusing on family law and criminal defense. He also has experience in juvenile defense and representing parents, and children, in Child Protective Service cases. This experience helps in representing people with criminal charges who are also facing the government trying to remove their children. Mr. Howey is a past president of the North East Tarrant County Bar Association.
Mr. Howey has jury trial experience ranging from Class A and B misdemeanors to serious felonies. He has won several cases through verdict and has been able to help clients avoid criminal charges before they are even filed by the police.
Prior to law school, Mr. Howey served in the US Army Reserves as an officer and deployed to Iraq. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. In his spare Nme, he enjoys spending time with his family and hiking.
